<p>One of my pet peeves about living in Greater China is when I find out that the bottle I paid for is a fake. Given then all the food &amp; beverage product scares recently, the last thing I want to do is drink something that could make me extremely sick.</p>
<p>Hopefully the meetings between Scotland&#8217;s minister (Alex Salmond) and his Chinese (Wang Yong) counterparts will yield concrete progress not just <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/7993413.stm">empty words</a>.</p>
<p>Make sure you are buying from a reputable distributor and make sure you examine the bottle.</p>

<p>現在什麼東西都有所謂的&#8221;山寨版&#8221;. 其實就是一個&#8221;盜版&#8221;的新名詞</p>
<p>假的名牌包, 假的iphone, 假的雞蛋, 假的保養品, 什麼東西都可以做假~!</p>
<p>這樣的情況, 在大陸特別嚴重.  現在大家一講到&#8221;山寨版&#8221; &#8220;假貨&#8221; &#8220;黑新商品&#8221;, 似乎馬上就會聯想到 made in China</p>
<p>不可避免, 有許多假酒也跟著流到市面上.  更可怕的是他用假以亂真, 模仿大品牌的包裝, 意圖渾淆消費者的視聽. </p>
<p>假酒不像假名牌包, 盜版DVD, 如果喝到假酒, 對身體會有非常嚴重的傷害.  有些假酒是直接用工業酒精稀釋, 喝了可能會失明!</p>
<p>希望蘇格蘭跟中國政府可以加強取締禁止這樣的行為!</p>
<p>最後 各位在外買酒時候, 不要買來路不明的酒, 更要好好的看好瓶身的包.</p>
<p>千萬不要買到像圖中的 Johnnie Worker 喔</p>

<p>So the folks over at Speyside are looking for other ways to make that peaty goodness and the left overs from the barrel making process to generate power 9,000 homes.   </p>
<p>The project is a joint development between Helius Energy plc and The Combination of Rothes Distillers Limited (CoRD).  </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A friend of mine from Guang Zhou asked me whether they should collect or drink the bottles that they buy.  The answer is it depends. Some of the limited edition bottles look nice but you have to have the storage for it.  Taste wise it is consistent from bottle to bottle, particularly the blended scotch.   </p>
<p>Personally I love Macallan 18 from 1984.  My dad and I bought cases and cases of it because we love it so much.  Fortunately or unfortunately, Macallan hasn&#8217;t produced a bottle like it since.  </p>
<p>Whiskey like champagne should be savored but doesn&#8217;t change very much after it has been bottled, so I say enjoy the bottles now. <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>BUT if you are into collecting: a) save those bottles you personally enjoy b) collect single casks or vintage bottle if you can afford it c) AND find the bottles or casks from the LOST distilleries of Scotland &#8211; that would be those are collectibles.  </p>
<p>During the 1980&#8242;s many of the independent distilleries faced consolidation due to the popularity of blended scotch.  So many distilleries had shut down or reduced their output such that they don&#8217;t export outside of the UK.  Each distillery has their own unique take on whisky and should be savored. </p>
<p>If you can get a hold of some of those bottles or casks, now those are worth collecting!  </p>
<p>I&#8217;ll post up a list of places that are no longer around but their whiskeys are still being sold  a little.  Back to the tyranny of the day job!</p>
<p>一個廣州的朋友那天再跟我討論, Whisky買了是要喝呢?還是要做收藏? 其實答案沒有一定. 有些特別限定版的Whisky瓶子跟盒子包裝的很漂亮, 但是需要空間來收藏. 至於Whisky的味道只要裝瓶後是不會有大改變.</p>
<p>好幾年前我爹買了幾箱的Macallan 12years Elegancia. 非常的好喝!<br />
他舊版的紙盒是白色金邊, 而且繪有漂亮的水彩畫!<br />
可惜後來就找不到這款酒了.</p>
<p>Whisky跟Champagne一樣, 應該好好的品嘗享用. </p>
<p>不過如果你想要收集Whisky的話, 可以<br />
a) 存放一些你個人很喜歡的Whisky<br />
b) 收集 single cask, 高酒齡, 或有年份的<br />
c) 還有收集蘇格蘭消失酒廠所出品的Whisky</p>
<p>在1980時, 因為混合式Whisky很受歡迎, 所以很多獨立蒸餾廠面臨被合併的命運.  許多Whisky酒廠被關閉, 減少Whisky的產量因為他們沒有英國以外的市場.  每個蒸餾廠都有自己值得欣賞的特色.</p>
<p>有機會買到這些已消失酒廠的Whisky, 甚至是酒桶, 真的非常值得收藏!</p>
<p>我下次會post一些仍在市面上可以買到已消失酒廠出品的Whisky!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I recently tried a glass of Smokehead Whisky.  It&#8217;s BOLD!   The nose is super peaty and powerful.  The taste has a hint of iodine.  That&#8217;s right iodine!  Now it may not sound all that palatable but, it is a unique component.  </p>
<p>From the whiskys i have tried from <a href="http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/艾拉島">Islay</a>, a tiny island off the coast of Scotland, this is a common characteristic.  Smokehead reminds me of a pumped up version of Laphroaig 10 year that I had not all that long ago.  </p>
<p>Its amazing what the terroir can do to the flavor of a whisky!</p>
<p>最近我呢, 喝了一支口味非常特別的Whisky.<br />
Smokehead.真是非常有特色的一支酒啊<br />
他聞起來有很重的泥媒味, 味道很強烈<br />
喝起來有一點碘酒味. 是的,你沒看錯就是碘酒.<br />
好啦我知道碘酒聽起來沒有很吸引人, 但是真的是很有特色的味道!</p>
<p>據我了解, 艾雷島出產的Whisky都帶有這樣的特色.<br />
這支酒讓我聯想到不久前才喝的Laphroaig 10 year .<br />
不過, Smokehead味道又比Laphroaig更重!</p>
<p>蘇格蘭每地區的Whisky都各有特色, 真的是很厲害!</p>
